Mountainside Residence, Upstate New York

This current project is a 7,000 sq. ft. eight bedroom home located on a mountainside in upstate New York, designed to blend seamlessly with the natural slope of the mountain. This modernist house features a unique “pinwheel form” clad in aluminum panels, with soaring flat roofs and interlocking massing, creating a striking and sculptural presence on the mountain. In a lesson learned from the study of Frank Lloyd Wright, this structure was to be built “of the mountain, rather than on top of it.” This project showcases the firm's commitment to sustainable and harmonious architectural design.
